Technical education in India has scaled multifold over the last decade with about 10k+ engineering colleges producing one and a half a million engineering graduates each year.  Unfortunately, the quality of education is continuously deteriorating with only 20%-25% of these graduates being employable. 

Bennett University, set up by the Times Group, is on a mission to bring world-class education to Indian students. With a focus on innovation and leading-edge technology, Bennett is partnering with the world renowned Georgia Institute of Technology, USA to bring international standards into Indian engineering curriculum.  

Bennett University has entered into an agreement with Georgia Tech to facilitate collaborative efforts in design and delivery of top-notch, high-end engineering curriculum.  The agreement will help promote academic collaboration between the two institutions and support Bennett University in developing technical excellence in engineering studies. As part of the collaboration, students will get to interact on campus with visiting Georgia Tech faculty and research engineers. Further, Bennett will also set up centres of excellence in Embedded Technologies and Cloud Computing, with assistance from visiting Georgia Tech faculty, supported by research engineers.

For over a decade, Georgia Tech has remained in the top 10 Public Universities in the United States.  As of 2015, Georgia Tech's undergraduate engineering program is ranked 4th and its graduate engineering program is ranked 6th by U.S. News & World Report.

The multi-faculty research-led Bennett University will begin operations soon. In the first phase, 4-year BTech & 2-year MBA programs of study will be offered. At full strength, which is likely by 2023, the state-of-the-art campus located in Greater Noida will accommodate more than 10,000 students.

To add global expertise and insights, Bennett University partners with The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, an Ivy League business school based in New York State. Known for its outstanding faculty and innovative programming, Johnson has been a leader in business education for the past 70 years.

This partnership prepares students for global success by building a strong foundation and the leadership skills required to solve the business challenges of tomorrow. Under the partnership (2016-2021), Johnson – Cornell will assist Bennett in the BBA, MBA and other management programs being offered. Faculty from Cornell will spend a week at the Bennett campus interacting with students/faculty, besides joint research, executive education and student immersion sessions as well as Bennett students getting to spend a semester at the Cornell campus.

Babson Global, a wholly owned subsidiary of Babson College globally recognized for its leadership in entrepreneurship education, is working with Bennett University to set up the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education for fostering an environment of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit at Bennett through specifically targeted activities/courses/programs aimed at all students. In addition, this partnership will set up "The Hatchery – the incubator" on Bennett campus.

The collaboration seeks to promote cooperation in curricular and faculty development in the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education of Bennett University with a focus on teaching and learning about entrepreneurship as a way of life on par with global standards.
